The rooms here at the Cottage each have their own unique features that make this beautiful setting extremely unique and special.

LET’S EAT!

Our varied and delicious, seasonal menu is freshly prepared at our largest nursery, St.Georges Grove, by our passionate and experienced kitchen team and delivered to us here at the Cottage through intricate systems complying with all health and safety requirements. Our menus are nutritionist  approved and ensure children are provided with a healthy, balanced diet throughout the day here at nursery.

The children love exploring our sports cupboard where they can find footballs, rugby balls, tennis rackets and basketballs to help develop their gross motor and hand eye co-ordination. In springtime the children enjoy planting their own vegetables and flowers in our expansive planters and during the colder months they enjoy turning the planters into construction and mini beast areas to excel exploration opportunities and play experiences.

THE GARDEN

The Cottage garden is simply beautiful with landscaped, defined areas filled with trees and natural resources. The children have continuous access to climbing frames, tricycles, sandpits and their favourite, the mud kitchen!

We have a variety of extra curriculum activities on offer throughout the week too, such as Tennis and Dancing with Deborah Janes school of dance.

Our bespoke Preschool cabin is located externally to the main building and provides a unique area for our over three’s children. They have direct access to our fantastic outdoor classroom via free flow patio doors on to the decking area where we always have an array of stimulating and inviting activities and opportunities awaiting the children.

We also have an amazing indoor wooden climbing feature which provides a safe and challenging experience for the slightly older children to really promote their physical development. Our two rooms upstairs provide a free flow experience to promote choice making and social interactions for all of our toddlers.

The nursery upper floor for the 2-3 year olds has a vast array of resources and furniture that have been specifically designed with the little ones in mind such as small group exploration tables, a stage area, a lego wall and an art gallery wall. 

SMALL SPACE - BIG FUN

Our under-two’s floor consists of two intimate rooms to ensure our littlest ones receive the highest level of care and nurture in the first steps of their journey at Magdalen. Here you will find cosy corners for your little ones to snuggle up for story times, lots of sensory toys to stimulate their senses and a variety of natural open-ended resources to ignite their imaginations. 

The main nursery building has 4 stunning classrooms, filled with bespoke, purpose built natural resources and toys for all to explore. We also have a pre school cabin located at the rear of our wrap around garden which provides open flow access to the outside areas to create inside/outside classroom opportunities and learning experiences.
